Where the data on the Registry page of the Computer window comes from. See Computer Window Data Sources for how to read the Source column, and for the other pages of the Computer window.
Enterprise and user-defined. This page only holds the registry values a Registry scanner in one of your scan profiles was configured to collect. Nothing is collected by default, so an empty page usually means no registry scanner has been configured or run - not that the keys are absent from the target.
NOTE: The scanner reads the target's native 64-bit registry view, so values under Wow6432Node must be requested by their full path.
Field |
Source |
Derivation / Notes |
|---|---|---|
Hive |
Scanner: Registry |
The hive the value was read from, split off the key name. |
Path |
Scanner: Registry |
The key path below the hive. |
Value Name |
Registry |
The registry value name. A key's unnamed default value is shown as (default). |
Value |
Registry |
The value, decoded for its type. Binary values are shown as space-separated hex bytes, and multi-string values are joined together. |
Type |
Registry |
The registry value type, such as String or DWord. Recorded as None when the value has no data to read - which covers a genuinely unset default, and the placeholder entry the scanner records for a matched key that holds no values at all. Hidden. |
Full Name |
Calculated |
Path and value name joined into one string, for filtering and reports. It does not include the hive, so filter on Hive separately rather than expecting a leading HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\. Hidden. |
Last Successful Scan |
Not scanned |
When the scanner last read this value, recorded in UTC by PDQ Inventory. |
Scan Profile(s) |
Not scanned |
The scan profiles whose registry scanners produced this entry. |
