Where the data on the Processes page of the Computer window comes from. See Computer Window Data Sources for how to read the Source column, and for the other pages of the Computer window.

The Processes page is a live view, not scan data. While the page is open, PDQ Inventory polls the target directly and nothing is stored in the database. The page is empty when the computer is offline, unreachable, or the account in use cannot query it, and it is not affected by scan profiles.

Process facts come from WMI Win32_Process; the performance figures come from the Win32_PerfRawData_PerfProc_Process performance counters.

Image Name	WMI	Win32_Process.Name - the executable name.
PID	WMI	Win32_Process.ProcessID.
CPU	Calculated	The change in the PercentProcessorTime counter between two polls, divided by the elapsed counter time and by the total core count. It needs two polls, so the column is blank for the first moment after the page opens.
Memory Usage	Performance counter	The WorkingSetPrivate counter - memory unique to the process, the same figure Task Manager shows. Falls back to Win32_Process.WorkingSetSize when the counter is unavailable.
User Name	WMI	The owner returned by the GetOwner method of Win32_Process, as domain\user. Shows processing... while the lookup is still running, and stays blank for processes the account in use may not query.
CPU Time	Calculated	Total processor time consumed by the process, converted from the counter's 100-nanosecond units. Hidden.
Peak Memory Usage	WMI	Win32_Process.PeakWorkingSetSize. Hidden.
Page Faults	WMI	Win32_Process.PageFaults. Hidden.
Base Priority	WMI	Win32_Process.Priority. Hidden.
Handle Count	WMI	Win32_Process.HandleCount. Hidden.
Thread Count	WMI	Win32_Process.ThreadCount. Hidden.
