Where the data on the Files & Directories page of the Computer window comes from. See Computer Window Data Sources for how to read the Source column, and for the other pages of the Computer window.

Enterprise and user-defined. This page only holds what a Files & Directories scanner in one of your scan profiles was configured to look for. Nothing is collected by default, so an empty page usually means no file scanner has been configured or run - not that the files are absent.

Field	Source	Derivation / Notes
Name	File system	The file or directory name.
Path	File system	The directory that contains it.
Size	File system	The file size in bytes. Blank for directories.
Type	Scanner: Files	File or Directory.
Product Name	File version resource	The ProductName field of the file's version resource. Blank for files with no version resource, such as text and data files.
File Version	File version resource	The FileVersion field.
Product Version	File version resource	The ProductVersion field.
Other Version	Calculated	The raw version text when it does not match the numeric version parsed from it - for example a value like 1.2.3 beta. Blank when the two agree.
Company Name	File version resource	The CompanyName field.
Comments	File version resource	The Comments field.
Description	File version resource	The FileDescription field.
Date Created	File system	The file's creation time, in UTC.
Date Modified	File system	The file's last write time, in UTC.
Date Accessed	File system	The file's last access time, in UTC. Windows does not update this by default, so it often matches Date Modified.
Last Successful Scan	Not scanned	When the scanner last saw this entry, recorded in UTC by PDQ Inventory.
Scan Profile(s)	Not scanned	The scan profiles whose file scanners produced this entry.
