Configures PDQ Deploy to run in Local, Client, or Server mode. The console and background service are closed before the change is applied. Depending on the selected mode, you will be prompted for credentials, a server hostname, a port number, and firewall exception preferences.
NOTE: This command requires a PDQ Deploy Enterprise license.

The console and background service run on the same machine. This is the default standalone configuration. |
Client |
This machine runs only the console and connects to a remote PDQ Deploy Server. You will be prompted for the server hostname and port. |
Server |
This machine runs the background service and accepts connections from remote consoles. You will be prompted for the service account, port, and firewall exception settings. |
Switch to Local mode:
PDQDeploy SetServiceMode Local
Configure as a client connecting to a remote server:
PDQDeploy SetServiceMode Client
Configure as a server:
PDQDeploy SetServiceMode Server
